ARC of
Maui County was established in 1954 by a group of concerned parents who sought
services for their children when none were available.We now celebrate over fifty-four(54) years of continued services within Maui County.
ARC of Maui County is dedicated to provide and
secure the opportunity for all people whom we represent and assist them to set,
choose, and realize their goals of where or how they will learn, live, work and
play.

the ARC of Maui County is committed to reduce the incidence of mental
retardation and its effect upon individuals, families, and the general
community. This process includes education, and advocacy based upon the
support of families, friends and community.

To accomplish the above, the ARC of Maui County
provides the necessary leadership within the field of developmental
disabilities through the development of human, financial and community
resources to reach and implement these stated goals.

ARC of Maui
County is a chapter of The Arc of the United Stateswww.thearc.org the
largest national organization solely dedicated to work on the behalf of
individuals with developmental disabilities.
ARC of Maui
County was incorporated in 1960 as a tax-exempt non-profit organization under
the Internal Revenue Service Code Section 501(c )(3) and is governed by a Board
of Directors composed of concerned community based volunteers.
